I'm Melting

It's hotter than Hades outside, the temps are high enough to melt cement; what do you wear in this inhospitable climate?

Wearing nothing isn't a realistic option, so keep it simple; a lightweight pair of pants or skirt, a loose top, a pair of sandals and a small handbag.  Forgo heavy accessories, just a pair of earrings and possibly a bracelet.

My best advice for staying cool is to stay inside!  This is perfect weather to attack some of those home projects that are constantly put aside due to hectic lifestyles.  Consider auditing your closet, it doesn't have to big a huge chore, take 20 minutes.  You certainly have things in there that you haven't been wearing, pass them on so someone else can appreciate them.  You'll feel good and will have more space in your closet.

In closing let me state that hot weather ISN'T an excuse to look like a slob.  I went to lunch yesterday with a friend and was disheartened by the clothing on most of the other women in the restaurant.  Please - lightweight, loose and casual doesn't mean baggy, no shape, and faded.  Keep gardening clothes at home!
